The truth is that you almost find an action camera for every sport you know or at least many people think that is the case but that is not all the truth because not all the action cameras that are out there are really good but once you have it you will not know what else to get and only the fewest test out before they buy. The action cameras comes in many categories such as car cameras, helmet cameras, sports camera, scientific camera, extreme camera but they are all known under one as an action camera. To find the best suiting camera you will need to determine what and where you need to be filming not all cameras work the same way – do you need it to be HD (High Definition) or what resolution will work for you. Do you need something just to be hand held or will you have to mount the camera to something and if so you will need to find an action camera with the right mounting system. What about the battery life time is it efficient enough and what format will the filming be stored as.

A real Action camera also comes in all sorts and shapes with a big difference in quality, size and weight and they are all parameters you really have to take into consideration when choosing the right solution for you and then of course this has to be done knowing if you need to be filming while you are mountain biking, kite surfing, road racing, skiing etc. because they all have different factors which can make up for different decisions. For me the GoPro helmet camcorder for now has no competition even though they can still get better there are no action camera out there with the same super sound on what ever you film if it is going down that ski slope or driving that mountain bike, using any other solution you will have to put music on top of your recordings. It is all a matter of your needs so get them sorted before you choose.
